What's your sign?
I finally got off my ass and printed out all the pictures from our trip to Arizona. The one I was most eagerly anticipating turned out to be nothing but a blur.
You see... along I-17, about 100 miles north of Phoenix and just a couple miles from the Sedona exit, there's a sign along the side of the road. It names the body of water that the highway is traversing at the moment.
Its name: Dry Beaver Creek.
Needless to say, that easily tops the legendary Big Beaver exit off of I-75 north of Detroit.
I was almost giddy at the thought of snapping a picture. Didn't work.
Fortunately, Google Images yielded the following image.

If you're ever in the Sedona area, have your camera ready.
I'm guessing in the realm of childish picture posts, this one ranks somewhere between here and here.

I'm not so sure about the easily part, considering the added bonus that "Big Beaver Rd." is both Exit 69 *AND* there's a Hooters right off the exit.
Pretty...errr...tight... race, though.
does it change your opinion at all if I remind you that Big Beaver road is exit 69?
1...2...3... JINX!!!
I considered the Exit 69 thing before I made the post (and actually meant to put it in there), but still feel the term "Dry Beaver" leads one's mind more directly to the immature, giggle-inducing image than "Big Beaver."
There are, in fact, large beavers in nature. That is clearly what that road was named after.
There's really no such thing as a dry beaver. It was only named that because the riverbed is dry several months each year.
Therefore, I stand by my post.
