...Just more observations

First off, I was happy to see Barry Bonds seemed to be enjoying hitting his 700th homerun. Personally, I don't care if he breaks a record or not, but he could at least act like he's having fun doing it.
That said, here's my beef with the whole Rangers/A's/Linda Tripp looking broad with the broken nose deal. Frank Francisco should be out for the season. If not only for throwing a chair, then for having the same first and last name a la Sirhan Sirhan. But this jackass who started it and then ducked to let his wife take the chair to the face is a hero in Oakland, and will probably get a luxury box for the rest of the season from the team. Oakland fans shout racial slurs at players like Ichiro (yes, they're racial even if it's not black/white,) have been known to throw coins at opposing players, and it's just chalked up to being those wacky A's fans. News flash, they're not fans. They're drunken jackasses who are trying to get a few high fives from the guys at the mill the next morning. I don't care where this shit takes place. I didn't even care for Browns fans hitting John Elway with batteries, and the worst that could do is straighten his teeth. MLB needs to hit Oakland with some sort of fine, or sanction, or something for the lack of security. I saw the tape, and I didn't see any security during the whole thing.
Let's see if the great satan Bud Selig will grow some rocks and deal with this, or if he'll just declare that the league with the best behaved fans gets home field advantage in the World Series.

...melancholy

So, it has been an odd couple of days. It began yesterday at around 1:00PM when I ran into a manager from one of my accounts. He told me that there had been a shooting in Bowling Green Tuesday night. He then showed me the blood stains in a parking lot not twenty yards from four other, separate accounts. Some morons got into a fight, so the biggest moron went and got a gun. I hope he feels like a big man while getting buggered by his new "roommates."
Later that afternoon I noticed an ambulance rushint up to "The Doyt." It wasn't until the eleven o'clock news that I heard that an eighteen year old walk-on to the Falcon football team had died ten minutes into his first college practice. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Then, today, I found out that Johnny Ramone died last night. I guess it's just a bad week.

On a lighter note, Happy Birthday to Richard Marx.

...Stu and Stephen A.

First of all, I am not a Stuart Scott apologist. It's just that his bits have grown on me. I mean who doesn't appreciate Mookie and RayRay getting their due on SportsCenter. It could be worse, the guy could be "Old Twelve-Toes" Linda Cohn. (I can't believe I miss Tony Kornheiser's Show)
And as far as a virtual Stephen A., that would be phenomenal. I love getting my NBA news from a man who is half Phil Jackson (or some other person who knows a lot about the NBA, as I obviously don't) and half Malcolm X.
