So last night I had the honor of escorting two Playboy Cybermates on an evening out in Bowling Green. Evidently, I was the winner of some sales incentive.
To be entirely honest, I was not looking completely forward to the day. I was not completely looking forward to this at first (I was truly expecting some high maintenance bitch), but it was a blast. The day went a bit like this.
10am: Meet up with my representative from the Miller Brewing Company and one of the Cybermates. (The other was in Lima during the day.) Christy, the brewery rep, introduced me to Amy. I had seen her head shot the day before, but found her much more attractive in person. We managed to shut down an entire grocery store for almost an hour while the majority of the male employees lined up in the beer aisle for a signed photo. Amy was very easy-going about the whole thing. She seemed just as happy to be there as the guys waiting for pics were to have her there. My preconceived bitch notion was shattered.
11am: Across town to another grocery store for a slightly shorter meet and greet session. Again, Amy was friendly and appreciative of everyone who came by to meet her.
11:30 am: The first real test. Howard's Club H. For those who don't know, Howard's is a very basic bar. Concrete floors and dim lighting. It is, however, a great place to have a few drinks and catch some live music. Before the day began I was really expecting Howard's to get a poor response from Amy. She was, however, very gracious again.
Noon: Nate and Wally's for more picture signing and gladhanding.
Lunch, and then a few more afternoon stops.
After a dinner break we met up again in Bowling Green for the nighttime events. Short and sweet. Amy and Alexis (who was in Lima all day) came out to meet us looking great. I'm not going to go into detail because I hope to get pictures up soon.
As soon as they stepped into the first bar they were mobbed by guys looking for an autographed picture. We probably only spent 45 minutes in the first bar before moving on. I was still relatively early, so no place was really crowded. In our last bar was where the crowd found us. The girls were barely able to leave their table because of the constant flow of people. We snapped some pictures and the girls signed a lot of their photos.
In the end, we stayed out a bit later than we had planned, but I think everyone had fun. I know I did.
So to Amy and Alexis, If you have stumbled across this post (I gave them the Address to find it) I would just like to thank you both for a fun day and night. It really broke the monotony.
